Unternehmensbeschreibung

Setron wurde 1969 von Hans Günther Schiffer als Elektronik-Distributor gegründet und 1995 an Avnet verkauft. Im Jahr 1999 initiierte die Streiff & Helmold Unternehmensgruppe die Gründung einer neuen Setron GmbH. Dadurch wurde das Unternehmen erneut zu einem privaten und unabhängigen Distributor, der seine Expansion sowohl organisch als auch durch Akquisitionen vorantrieb (PK Components im Jahr 2010 und Trafomo A/S im Jahr 2012). Ende Juli 2015 wurden die Geschäftsanteile der Setron GmbH schließlich von Arrow Electronics übernommen.
