Unternehmensbeschreibung

Kyocera, das bereits 72 Prozent der Anteile an AVX hielt, übernahm das US-Unternehmen für 1.030 Millionen Dollar komplett. Sie boten den verbleibenden Anteilseignern einen Aufschlag von 44,6 Prozent pro Aktie an. Das japanische Unternehmen gründete eine hundertprozentige Tochtergesellschaft, um die Akquisition in den USA abzuwickeln. Nach der Übernahme wurde diese Tochtergesellschaft mit AVX verschmolzen. Der Verwaltungsrat von AVX empfahl den Aktionären einstimmig das Angebot. Die Transaktion wurde im vierten Quartal des Geschäftsjahres, das im März 2020 endete, abgeschlossen.
